Equine Evacuees

I didn't achieve much today as was riveted watching the British election unfold.

This evening we went to an information meeting by the Rural Fire Service in the Megalong Fire Shed. They gave us lots of details and advice on the various fires in the vicinity (to the north, south and east) and told us of all the amazing work being done to contain them.
I know people are feeling stressed but it was embarrassing to see some get stuck into clearly exhausted volunteers as if the fires were their fault!
However I think most were able to convey our enormous gratitude for the unpaid and dangerous work they do day and night.

Meanwhile three of our neighbours have moved horses to our place which is marginally safer with less vegetation.
Four of the beautiful visitors are in extras.

The second extra is from Echo Point which I took last night. The floodlight which normally illuminates the Three Sisters is only showing  smoke and mist.
