Lucky for Some

We've been selling Christmas trees at Longshaw today. The weather has been really grim again. I managed to keep fairly dry in the sales shed, but it was very cold in the biting wind. There were huge numbers of little birds in the feeder area, but I despaired of getting any photos in the gusty wind: the branches were moving, the birds were moving, I was moving and the camera was moving. In spite of this I managed just one photo of a Brambling that despite being partly obscured by branches, caught the bird fairly sharply.
