Cool Hand Luke

A very good friend of mine just moved to California with his wife.  They invited me to their home that is tucked in a quiet canyon.  It is a simple, authentic, Spanish-style, stone home  built by a man from 1928 to 1945. It has a flowing, Spanish architectural design. Everywhere you look are artistic touches and little stone inlays like this. The beams in the living room are from an old flour mill; the bricks are from a ruined mission; there are amazing little hand-painted tiles from Spain.  In the courtyard is a stone fireplace, and a belfry with iron an bell.

They are both writers, and this is perfect place to find inspiration and peace and quiet.
