Cup marked rock

(Backblipped)
Day 8 of St Oswald's Way, from Rothbury to Knowesgate. It was a hot day  and we were pleased to climb on to the open moorland above Rothbury and explore the cup and ring marked rocks there.

We reached Cocquet Cairn for lunch, and then were grateful for the shelter of Harwood Forest from the sun.

Fortunately we were not staying at Knowesgate, as the hotel looked quite sad. We stopped in the bar while waiting for the taxi to Otterburn for the night. Asked for a well-known beer from one of the marked taps, the barman said "What is that?", and then had to make a phone call to find out the price!
