Old Policies.

It has been a wet and windy old day again so MaggieD did a bit more tidying out of old papers.
These policies date from the early 20th century and relate to a farm belonging to my late mother in law’s family. I am sure the amounts covered were ample for the time but those few hundreds of pounds wouldn’t go far today.
The insurance company, North British and Mercantile, dates from 1809 and, in 1959, was absorbed by Commercial Union Assurance, now Aviva.
I think Chloe is feeling the lack of walking today, she is currently  playing with one of her toys, rolling around on the carpet and throwing “donkey” up in the air. She should calm down soon!
