Ambulance familiarisation day

Well half day.
Last night was the Community First Responder Christmas meal for the groups I train with, a rather unseasonal but excellent Indian in Penrith.
We see each other usually but once a month - so it seemed comical when we all met up again today to tour the Ambulance Station, meet some top brass and play around in the Ambulances.
We often get asked to go and get additional kit, but each (type) of ambulance or RRV is slightly different, so familiarity does help - though my ocd tendancies alway get scratchy - why can't they simply label the cupboards......

Fascinating to see the new bariatric* kit, some quite technical stretchers and chairs that can Ascend stairs and curbs.

*Fancy medical word for fat. Apparently the record so far is 55 stone. Which means there's a human being out there who weighs very nearly 5 times me!
