A challenging shift, but job done.

The builders finished the refurbishment today. They saved the highest bit of the house until last, probably 7m high and north facing. It wasn’t to be their day weather wise, but they knew once they’d started they’d need to finish. Quality didn’t suffer despite this, and they did a few extra little bits and pieces for me. Daylight disappeared during the sweeping up; we’ll do the rest when it’s better weather. They left their scaffold stacked on the grass, they’ll collect on Monday; they’re more than busy enough, and another job beckons.

This early evening we watched Glasgow Warriors on TV play La Rochelle. A dreich affair, like the game at Bridgehaugh last weekend.

Played some Christmas music the rest of the evening. Spotify brings me much pleasure.
