A meet with Skyline MC and on the way to the hut I parked up and did the walk we used to do as kids. Up the zigzags and along to the bus turning circle, and then down through the woods. It's all part of the Padarn Country Park, although of course it didn't used to be, and I even had a quick look at the Slate Museum which I haven't been to for years. It's slightly odd that we saw all that slate equipment and paraphernalia in situ up in the quarry before a museum was ever thought of.
