Breezy constitutional

We said goodbye to 8 this morning after lengthy coffee and desperate attempts at getting people to please eat more cake/ mince pies/ biscuits than is healthy otherwise it'll just be us! And then the remaining 6 of us had a chilly walk on the hills. The road up to the top of the Long Mynd was shut; even a little ice on that narrow, precipitous route is dangerous. Fortunately, we missed most of the contents of the very dark clouds gathering overhead.

2 more of the party disappeared then and we have the remainder staying tonight. The beds are stripped, bed linen washed and ironed and it's about time I just sat down and give in!

It was all worth it :-)
