Volunteer Point

Back Blip:
Today we took the trip out to Volunteer Point - a 2.5 hour drive mostly over unmarked tracks over moorland!  Quite a ride - but what a result seeing these wonderful penguins on the beach and at their colony.  There were some youngsters still in their brown fluffy coats, some in the process of moulting and some fully fledged.  
An incredible experience and a joy to see them - esp as there were no cruise ships in Stanley today so we had them almost to ourselves. We only saw 5 other people!
What a fabulous end to a memorable 14 day experience!
