Mistletoe

The trees near the parish church in Fetcham are hosts to extensive growths of mistletoe. Tree after tree is festooned with this parasite. Maybe this area is associated with Druids who revered mistletoe and suggested it had mystic powers. Perhaps this was a sacred site long before it was chosen for a Christian church? More recently it is an essential decoration to encourage Christmas kisses, much more fun.
