Nostalgia

I ventured into the shop at work today for a nostalgic chocolate fix - the young lad at the till said "That looks good, are they new?".

I said something about them having been around for a while - it didn't seem right to tell him that they've been around since the 1860s, or that I remember having them in the 1960s.  

My 1960s recollection is of my granny sending copies of the Hawick News to our house in Northern Ireland - and that there would regularly be a Fry's Chocolate Cream tucked in amongst the pages of the paper.   

It's been pointed out elsewhere that at that time it was cheaper to send newspapers than ordinary letters - so if you just tucked a letter in with the paper...
