Los Arrayanes National park

Los Arrayanes National Park is a national park located in the Los Lagos department of the Neuquén province in Argentina. It occupies the 1796ha of the Quetrihué peninsula, on the north shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi.
It is part of the North Andean Biosphere Reserve since 2007.
The Arrayanes Forest is unique in the world because normally the myrtle is a shrub, but in this place it is a tree. Thus becoming the only Arrayanes Forest in the world. Due to this, a few years ago it is a protected area, to preserve its species and the variety of native life.
Los Arrayanes National Park (Neuquén, Argentina) or on the north bank of the Colecole River (Chiloé, Chile) there are forests where they reach up to 20 m high and 1 m in diameter. Its growth, however, is very slow, and special protection has been assigned to renovations to prevent accidental destruction by visitors.
