Nativity

One of the joys of being a retired grandparent is going to see the children's nativity plays without the stress of getting to and from work etc.

This morning we saw Ariadne's at nursery before going on to James's school in the afternoon.  The nursery play was a loose adaptation of the Christmas Story - possibly using whatever costumes were available, or probably, what the children wanted to wear. So instead of Shepherds we had three Superheroes minding their pet Dragons :-)

It was wonderful - Ariadne's costume is one she designed herself, made up by our daughter,  she was accompanied by Batman and Spiderman.

Baby Jesus took it all in his stride and slept through the whole thing!
I ended up at the back with the fathers - most of whom were desperately holding back the tears :-)

Camera club social tonight - although the blanket of fog over the local area might have something to say re anyone who has to drive far to get here!
