Last Day in NYC

We figured that by the end of our trip to New York we’d be exhausted. What we didn’t count on was that we would feel exhausted every day!

We started the day by checking out of the hotel and heading over to Roosevelt Island in the East River to take the cable car back to Manhattan with great views. We then headed to the opposite side of Central Park to have lunch at the American Museum of Natural History (which is vast!). After a quick dip into Central Park, we headed to the main branch of the New York City Public Library and the jewel of the main reading room (see extras). I sat there for a bit, both grateful for places like this and grateful that I’m no longer a formal student with an essay due next week.

We then began the long slog back to the airport for the long, overnight trip back to dear old London. I loved this trip with Tim. One of the things it gave me was an unexpected appreciation of the UK, and of Edinburgh and London in particular.

Thank you Tim!
