through the rainy window

It’s been raining all day, non-stop. We went to Sainsbury’s and it was packed, even waiting for someone to go to get a parking space. The road is flooded as is the field across the road and the ditch at the edge of our garden. But we had a very tasty slow-cooked dinner, the kitchen was warm and cosy, and I wrapped up presents.
