Filtered Light

Thank goodness the temps rose from yesterday and with warm sun on my back I didn't notice it was only just above freezing. I found this spot in the shade partly illuminated by sunlight filtering through the trees.

It's amazing what a bit of light does to the clarity of a photo, everything seems crisp and detailed. I liked that I could see individual snowflakes sitting on the ice, which reminded me of coconut topping on a dessert.


I brushed some light onto the brighter parts of the log to bring out its warmth and darkened the shadows a touch enhancing the sunlit areas.
