We fell across an Indian party today celebrating an anniversary. The music matched the clothing; bright, loud and ambitious.

Indian music seems to match the country so well. An unending beat that marches forward and shows, no matter what, little sign of an ending. Beat, bop, beat, bop, beat, bop. On and on.

The party swayed and cheered and suggested it may well last for days.

Somehow India is balancing incredible wealth with depths of poverty literally living side by side. In a country where today’s pauper will be tomorrow’s millionaire, it’s quite something to behold.
