Final delivery

In rural Scotland the postman in his red van is not only a familiar sight but often a lifeline , much depended on and much appreciated.

For our first decade or so here Davy Edgar was that postman, and he was succeeded by Arthur French, who is a font of knowledge about all sorts of things - especially owls and bird life in general.

Today was however Arthur's last day in the job as he retires this weekend.  There was a presentation in the  Colintraive village hall  on Monday which I was unable to attend, though Cathleen went, but I got the chance today to say thanks for all he has done and all he has delivered to Feorlean -   most of which was welcome !
