Saturday

All last night the cows were making a din. We wondered whether a couple had found themselves on the wrong side of the fence again.  It was very foggy this morning and I could see nothing. The noise stopped around 10am so no doubt the farmer had resolved their plight.

All the children are safely home for Christmas!! (hurrah) 

It's rained heavily all day. We are on a hill so no problem for us but across town has not fared well. Lucy's utility room flooded and water in the road was coming up the drain like a fountain.  

Eventually the water board arrived, seemed to sort the drains and then one of their vans slid across mud and into my nephew's car thus writing it off.
