Dungeness Crab

It's a family tradition from my sister-in-law's family to have cracked crab and spaghetti Christmas Eve night. And though this isn't really Christmas Eve, it is the family gathering this year for the holidays. On Christmas day we'll all be in different places so tonight is the night.

We are very lucky to live in Dungeness Crab land, and this happens to be crab season. So Nora was able to acquire a big bunch of crabs for the whole family to enjoy. She also made spaghetti and Dave made Caesar salad. Yum! We finished the meal with hot fudge sundaes. Oh boy! 

After dinner we sat in the living room and opened presents starting with birthday gifts for Nora and Steve. We had a great time and did a bunch of talking and laughing together. I am so lucky to have such a loving and close family. 

Earlier in the day I put together breakfast for our Canada friends who came down yesterday to celebrate the holidays and then stayed over night. After breakfast I took off for our holiday book club gathering at Lyz's house. It was a very full day of celebrating family, friendship and love.
