Lichens

In the calm before the next wave of rain, and tired of walking through Wealden mud, the spaniel and I headed for the South Downs this morning. Came across a hedgerow festooned with multiple species of lichen, something I've never learnt to identify beyond the main families. I was particularly stuck by this hawthorn twig with at least three different lichens.
