Merry Christmas

Howdy blipmates.  I am back from holidays and will shortly be backblipping and getting up to date.  I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.  My thoughts are with those who have suffered a loss. at this time  While I was away, the fires continued and I feel like the country has been burned to a crisp.  The firefighters have done an amazing job to save properties but unfortunately there have been losses.

You may notice that my darling Poppy is not in this shot.  The news is not good.  She had kidney failure.   The specialist thought it must have been congenital.   She was only 4.   There was no treatment that would have prolonged her life in any meaningful way and so on 21 November, I made the decision to say goodbye to her.  My heart is very heavy and I miss her.

The horizon is not bleak though dear blipmates.  My friends who are Goldie breeders have just had two litters and offered me a puppy.  I thought about it while I was away and while the puppy will never be a replacement for Poppy, it feels right and so I have said yes.  Milly the mum is in the extra with the litter.  One of those will be joining my family so here I go again teaching a puppy and all that comes with it.   There are three girls and it may be green bum but it is too soon to tell.  I will be picking her up in February so stay tuned.

Warmest wishes to you all.
