Christmas Eve streetlights through trees

A busy day fetching the last few Christmas presents, baking mince pies and amaretti, decorating the Christmas cakes and generally trying to make sure everything was prepared for tomorrow. I listened to the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols while doing the baking, and didn't get out for some fresh air until well after sunset. Venus was hanging low in the sky over the flooded Rowing Lake (see extra) and the streetlights of the Nene Parkway were shining through the trees - the road was busy with people returning home for Christmas, contrasting starkly with the flooded valley.
