It's not a scarf ...

... It is pure coincidence that it matches his coat.

We were at the vet's this morning for Stage One - to have a skin-stretching device fitted: the sarcoma removal should hopefully be straightforward, but they are concerned about closure, there's plenty of skin above the lump but it is scarce at the sides. So they are hoping to "buy some more skin" and avoid a skin graft with this Blue Peter Velcro device, stuck on with super glue. I have to tighten it every six hours. Stoic Harvey didn't flinch even at being shaved. The inflated collar (much less cumbersome than the cone collars) will help prevent him trying to take it off; so far he doesn't seem bothered by it at all.
It was embarrassing on our walk, that people actually thought I had accessorized his coat!
