Bane of my existence

Because of a sick building syndrome instance in a part of Allen Hall, my Research Methods class was moved to a different building. The classroom which I was assigned did not have "technology," meaning computer, projector, etc. As the material is dense, and it was the first time I taught the class, I really felt I needed slide presentations to accompany the lectures. To pull that off, I carried a laptop and a portable projector with me twice a week across campus.

The ding-dong above was a key component making the whole system work: it connected the laptop to the projector.
