Surveying the Aftermath

We went for a drive to the back of the property to show the family where the fire had been. We didn’t venture too far into the fire zone as falling trees can be a danger.
You can see that the fire would have been moving slowly along the ground at this point and the tops of the trees have been spared.
It certainly came very close to my brother in law’s place.
It’s still a bit smokey but we don’t mind as we know it’s from the back burning going on to protect us when the next heat wave arrives as fires are still burning.
