It’s a Wonderful Life

This was the last day of trying to cross things off lists, buy presents, wrap presents and get some provisions in the flat. We made it in time for my first visit to the Regent Street Cinema for a showing of It’s a Wonderful Life. I feel like Christmas can now happen and all is right with the world.  For the last 20 years I’ve had Christmas away from ‘home’ and this film is a link to my past that I treasure dearly.

Walking back to the underground along Regent Street, I couldn’t help seeing the angels that had earned their wings (‘atta boy Clarence!) and two icons of British transport - the black cab and the double decker bus. My inner eight year old was very content.
