Pick of the bunch

Piles of clothes in one room, maps in another, camera equipment etc., in yet another room, the hall is cluttered with necessary footwear and the kitchen is in chaos with left-overs to take to Norfolk, plus spices, herbs, stock cubes and anything else I can think of that we might need.

I fitted in a short walk just after lunch and spotted a group of pheasants in an “out of bounds” field. Not daunted, I headed round to do a bit of trespassing and got a few shots before they scarpered.

The rose is from a bunch given to me at Christmas.
