The serious business...

... of racegoing was all around me at Wetherby today. I couldn't ignore it, despite the uncomfortably cold conditions.

Regular visitors to my journal will know that I attend such events when needed and rarely through choice. So these enthusiasts seem fair game to me - sporting their racegoing hats and race cards (the little booklets with the lists of runners).

I've included an extra of an actual race - though the quality is reduced by the very poor light. I'm told that Horse 2 came first and Horse 1 came second (if you are keen to know the result).
