Weighty Quaker

Today's the day ........................... to catalogue

Spent a lovely couple of hours this afternoon accessioning some of the artefacts that we have been given recently into the museum collection.

This involves giving them their unique number and entering all the details about them into the Accession Register. Eventually they will be photographed and put into the computer database - and it will be easy for anyone to find them again in our collection.

This is a rather severe looking, mid-19th century doll dressed in the sort of clothes that Quakers would have worn around that time. There's not a lot of information on where she came from but I can't imagine that any child would have liked to snuggle up to her ...................................!
