Missing Me?

Yes on both counts:  I nearly did miss him amongst the grasses and yes I am missing my shorties big time and glad they have returned for another year. 

Sitting in the car with seats dropped and windows down I knew it wasn't the ideal light scenario but was chuffed to see them all the same with battles in the sky between the shorties against the crows, the rooks and the red kites! Not an easy time to fly all this way south for and battle for your territory.
