Nature Diary... Christmas Cactus

When I first bought this lovely plant the flowers were pure white and the stamens were a beautiful candyfloss pink. Since then the petals have gradually turned pink all but draining out all the white. So although it's still a beautiful plant it's nowhere near as unusual as it was when I first saw it. 
This is an edit (I forget which one as I tried so many!) giving a painted effect.
