Check point Charlie on Princes Street

In Berlin these barricades came down in 1989. I cannot understand how we have allowed these checkpoints to impede our passage in our own city that we are still proud to call home in 2019. I took this pic on our way home from Scottish Ballet’s The Snow Queen at The Festival Theatre. It was a truly magical 5 star performance in every way! No amount of Hogmanay Tourist Tat can ever detract from that!
