The Big Dry

Julia had a virus at Christmas and now Mr isbi has succumbed so we had a quiet day. Fortunately he had the cricket to watch.
He managed to come down the valley this afternoon as we had not cleared up after our Christmas visit.
It is as dry as I have ever seen it down there. The creek has been reduced to a couple of water holes. 
They are predicting the hottest run of December weather in Melbourne since 1897. It is hotting up here but so far we have been spared strong winds. The fire fighters have been able to make good progress with containment of our fires over the past few days.
