Jorvik…

…………….Viking Centre, York, England

A Back Blip, uploaded Monday 30th December for 20th May.

This morning we walked through the Shambles, exploring quaint shops and history along the way. A visit to the Jorvik Centre experiencing life in the Viking age from a ‘time capsules’ as we travelled through village life was amazing. The museum was fascinating too.
Other places we visited - All Saints Pavement Parish & Guild Church,  Walking along sections of the city wall, visiting Monk Bar and the Richard III experience, and the Barley Hall which is a medieval townhouse. The oldest part of Barley Hall dates from around 1360.
