The Hope of the Future

"Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see." 

This is a quote by Neil Postman from his book, The Disappearance of Childhood, written in 1982.

As one year ends and another begins, I am aware of the rapid passage of time and that it brings with it my mortality. Perhaps our interaction with children is a form of immortality; the messages we send to the future.

I hope that 2020 brings the opportunity for connection with others -- adults and children, into all of our lives in a positive and meaningful way.
