All is quiet on New Year's Day

And so we're told this is the golden age
And gold is the reason for the wars we wage
Though I want to be with you, be with you
Night and day
Nothing changes
On New Year's Day
(U2)

Took another early morning dander through Dublin city today. It was lovely and quiet.
The blip is from the Millennium bridge, over the river Liffey (Anna Liffey), looking towards the Ha'penny bridge. Close by is the Clarence Hotel which is owned by Bono and The Edge.

Fare thee well sweet Anna Liffey, I can no longer stay
And watch the new glass cages that spring up along the Quay
My mind's too full of memories, too old to hear new chimes
I'm part of what was Dublin, in the rare ould times.
(The Dubliners)

Going back to Sligo today.
