Two pubs

A short New Years walk around Shoreham (Kent) village on a grey, murky new year's day.

There are four pubs (one , only opens at weekends as a testaurant) and we had a drink in The Crown, a very old beamed traditional pub.

The other pub in my blip is the Olde George Inn which originates from 1500.

The Mount Vineyard, our local winery, was closed today. We miss our Sunday rural walks to the vineyard, and hope that in the not too distant future I will be able to cope with this 9 mile circular ramble.

Shoreham is a lovely conservation village in the Darent Valley with many historical buildings .The River Darent runs through it and the adjacent footpath was very muddy today.

Hope everyone is enjoying the first day of 2020.
