diary 2020

The golden age of railway posters was the 1920 and 30s when companies such as LMS LNER GWR tempted visitors to take the train to British resorts with colourful posters painted by professional artists. After 1948 British Railways continued this in the 1950s and 60s.
Today the original artworks are highly collectable and sought after commanding enormous prices at auction.
Lady Habbie kindly gave poor me this diary with many poster examples throughout it as can be seen in the extras
