Fleeting

Ogatodomar had set out on his epic train journey from Thurso at about 8:30 am, so I had to figure out a way of extracting him from Waverley station at around 16:30 - by which time a lot of the city centre was being locked down for the vastly overblown and commercialised Hogmanay stuff and buses were being diverted etc. Nearest car club car available was up near the foot of the walk, but having found it I then collected DE without incident.

Later we went across the Links to Mel's house for blethering, nibbles and drams. DH decided to wear part-regalia (see extra).

As I walked up the Kirkgate at dusk  I heard some chattering in a berry tree and whipped out the camera to get a fleeting shot of what turned out to be a redwing. Little did I know then that about 100 m further on a flock of 60 waxwings had been seen in South Leith kirkyard today!
