Carnaby St

After taking mum to Kings Cross for her train home, R and I spent the afternoon walking through some of our favourite streets in central London until it was dark enough to see the Christmas lights. We had numerous pub stops and finished with the best in Carnaby St which was packed. By 5.30pm we were ready to head home, but this easier said than done as the tube stations at Piccadilly, Green Park, Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge we’re all closed and the crowds coming out of Winter Wonderland didn’t help. And of course all the buses were full and not stopping. We had to walk to Kensington High St before we could get on a bus, so I definitely met my step count today.
It’s been great having mum stay for the week but it’s also lovely to R hone and the flat to ourselves again.
