Japanese Gardens

Lord Leverhulme had a home in these grounds but unfortunately, after his death, nobody had his love for the place and it was abandoned before being demolished. The gardens were overgrown but a great adventure playground for local children, myself included. In more recent times, due to lottery grants and donations, the gardens are being rediscovered and the hidden gem is being uncovered. The difference is astounding. A nice start to the New Year having a walk up Rivington Pike and through the gardens.
