At Riverside Park....

Granddaughter Emily and her Dad, Steve have been visiting for two nights. Great house guests...,we had a most enjoyable time. They drove off this morning, heading to Picton, the Interislander ferry and home to Wellington.
Because Maisie had to have grass seeds from both ears and paws removed yesterday we cannot risk taking her on our usual walks in the Upper Taylor River tracks. There are acres of dry grasses there and she rushes through them in pursuit of rabbits. So we are walking the downtown riverside paths where the grass and lawns are frequently mown. We walked to Riverside Park, “The Quays” and back... not a dry grass seed in sight!
