Packwood House

After the obligatory weekly blood test, or so it would seem, we took off for Packwood House, the National Trust property near Solihull.

We should have known that going to a NT property on the last day of the extended Christmas/New Year holidays was a mistake, especially as the sun was shining.  The place (cafe) was rammed. I managed to snaffle a two person table and we had a drink and a spot of lunch before taking a walk by the lake.

As the sun was shining one could tell the time on the sundial, one of quite a few at Packwood, in the back garden.  Unfortunately it had not been adjusted for Daylight Saving Time so it was an hour fast!
