Where's Woo?

Can you spot Sadie (aka Mrs Woo)?

This wasn't the best photo I took today, but it's the one that made me smile most and prompted me to write the poem below.

The Spaniel

Spaniel, spaniel, brown and white
In the frosty morning light.
What mere mortal, you or I,
Could match thy fearful energy.

In what distant fields or skies,
Can you see with your brown eyes.
In every county, town or shire
Spaniels hearts are filled with fire.

With spotted nose that never fails
You follow scents with wagging tails.
And soon your hearts will skip a beat,
As you chase birds with flying feet.

But what happened when time it came,
To forge the content of thy brain?
All the focus, thought and dreams,
To follow ducks and jump in streams.

When it is near the end of the day,
And all the birds have been chased away.
Then it's time for your other tricks
Like chasing balls and chewing sticks.

Spaniel, Spaniel, brown and white,
In the dusky evening light,
Lay down to sleep, and gently snore
While keeping one eye on the door.

(Apologies to William Blake - real poem here)
