St Gregory the Great

This relief depicts St Gregory the Great with an Anglian slave. Which is nice. Gregory was apparently sent by the Romans to convert the English, back in the day.

The relief was transferred from St Augustine's Hospital in Chartham when it closed in the mid-90s, and is now on the outside wall of St Thomas's Catholic Church in Canterbury.
