Today ... a long wander from Stratford down the past Three Mills Island where, for more than 1000 years there has been grinding grain, then making gin, then soap making & also from the 1700s the manufacture of porcelain. Congreve built rockets nearby for use against the Americans. Hmmmm.

And there's the Sugar House, Pudding Mill and Abbey Mills, finally helping to stop the dumping of sewerage into the Thames. Then on to Limehouse Basin & a great Sunday roast in the Narrow. It's one of Gordon Ramsay’s pub/restaurants, but with great service, great food and no bad language.

Then into Central London to see the lights on Regent's Street before staggering, weary, to Polly, Matt & Ollie's for a cuppa & catch up.

So a full day, fun day and a day full of walking.
