Mystery lady

Emergency blip! This picture is one of a pair of portraits, probably of the same girl but in different colours and facing opposite directions.

They are dated 1914 and belonged to my great grandmother. I would love to find out more about them or the artist but the signature is almost indecipherable.

Now that the building project is virtually complete we are slowly putting the house back together, emptying long packed boxes and hanging pictures.

It's all the personal treasures that make it feel like home again.

The forecast is for snow overnight. Will I wake to a white world I wonder?
