Grande Casa de Plantas

Big plantation house.
Derelict Sunday. Marlieske. Thru January 12.

First time ever 'close' view of this place, from the front. There is a ten foot stone wall around it, and today the ten foot steel doors were open when I walked by. The tractor driver was dropping something off so it seems. What looks like mold on the porch walls are actually tiles or azulejos. And not surprisingly, they are in great shape. It may be another fifteen months before I get to see it again.
It overlooks a few hectares that still harvest grapevines, orange trees, grapevines, two come-and-go white horses, grapevines, a greens garden, grapevines, olive trees and chestnut trees. Lemon trees probably hiding.
There has always been a construction crane, just out of sight, implying
some restoration is planned.
An extra shows another section of the property. Grapevines and the distant view of the casa front.
